With the publication of the new Dungeon Master’s Guide, there are doubtless going to be a lot of new D&D players interested in my favorite setting, the World of Greyhawk. Welcome aboard!

Awesome. Your blog and site are a definite go to for my boy’s campaign I DM! (running in Greyhawk since 2018)
Indeed, will be interesting to see new adventurers and DMs coming to the shores of Oerik. ๐
Your links will be gold to them. ๐๐
Thank you so much!
Hey, Joe!
Long time player (started in 1977) and long time observer of your work. Got your hardcovers, your 10th anniversary ed of Castle of the Mad Archmage (wow!), got a bunch of your downloads (wow again!), etc. etc. And I have some random questions that I don’t know how to contact you to ask you. Therefore . . .
1. Where did you get or how did you make your “map curtain”? It’s so cool!
2. Glad to see someone else got the 28 lbs. edition of OGRE!
3. How is your big map of Oerth coming?
4. I’ve been a big fan of your “additional” modules to the T, the D, the G, and the Q series. At one point, you mentioned that you are working on: “T5: The Shrine of the Elder Elemental God” and “T6: ToEE Campaing Expansion”. Any news?
5. How the heck do you find the time to produce all the stuff that you manage to turn out? It’s great! But when do you sleep?
If you don’t want to comment on this stuff publicly, just drop me an email and delete this comment. Or I’ll just check the comments on this blogpost for a reply.
And if you don’t have time to do that, that’s OK. After all, if you don’t get the Adventures Dark and Deep books proofed, I’ll never get my copies!!!
Thanks, Doug Pearson
Hi Doug!
To take your questions in order:
1. There are a bunch of places that will take whatever image you upload and put it on just about anything. You canโt sell it to other people, of course.
2. Heh. I still have the picture of the UPS guy staggering down the driveway carrying it.
3. Slowly. Iโve had a couple of detours, for obvious reasons. But itโs definitely still on the anvil.
4. Those are partially written. No ETA, but definitely still happening eventually.
5. LOL. Unfortunately I donโt have time to do *everything* I want to, or the Oerik map and gazetteer would be complete by now. ๐
Hey, Joe,
I guess I was kinda sleepy when I wrote the above comment and didn’t catch something.
I had read an old post of yours (which I can’t find now) titled “On the Workbench” and it mentioned you working on “T5 – The Shrine of the Elder Elemental God”. So did this actually become your finished “T5 – Beneath the Temple of Elemental Evil”? Or might “Shrine” become a new T6 and the other one you said was still cooking, “T6: ToEE Campaign Expansion” become a new T7?
Maybe in a few years?
By the way, in case I wasn’t obvious about it, I am definitely a fan of 1e AD&D / OSRIC. I will play OD&D, B/X, or even 2e AD&D, but I don’t have much interest in more recent D&D editions except for what I can mine from a module here and there.
Also, BTW, is there any chance that the DMs Guild will offer your two new Greyhawk books in a Print On Demand option, hopefully in color? They’d look good next to all your other hardcovers . . .
Thanks again, Doug Pearson
Correct, the T5 mentioned in that (very) old post became the T5 current available on the Free Resources page. The rest are coming… eventually.
Yes, the DMs Guild books will eventually be released in hardback (it should say so in the descriptions). But it does take quite a long time for that to happen, and according to the rules the books have to be Gold bestsellers.
Thanks for the response.
I see that the book’s descriptions now say that a hardcover may be coming.
Gold bestsellers? Hey, I did my part! @:^)
